Movies I've Seen This Year

Everything I've seen this year! Rule is it has to be the full movie with some leeway if it's on tv! This will be a slow list, I dont watch movies very often!

Dear John

A cute and heartfelt movie with two of my favourite actors. John is a soldier and meets Savannah near his home town while on leave. Before long, the two become inseperable, at least until John returns to service and they're forced to spend the year apart. They communicate through letters, though it's no suprise the miles between them challenge their commitment and love for eachother. But as they soon discover, time waits for no one, and each will have to make their own decisions that will change both of their lives.

Ocean's Eleven

A remake of the classic ratpack film from the 1960's, Ocean's Eleven is your typical heist moive. Fresh out of jail and looking to take back what he feels should be his, Ocean enlists in the help of 11 con artists to pull of the job of his life. But it won't be easy. It's Vegas baby, and in the city of the sly two steps ahead isn't merely enough. With a star studded cast, this movie is hilarious, alluring, action packed, sexy, and clever, perfect for a guys night in.

What a Girl Wants

Typical, yet cute teen movie about a girl's search to to find out who she really is. Daphnie is free spirited, just like her wedding singer mother. However, her life is about to get flipped upside down when she finds out her father is living in England and running for office. The journey is on when she unexpectedly turns up at his door to find an evil fiance and soon to be step sister waiting. With all she's found, Daphnie must choose: Be who she is, or change to fit in?

She's the Man
Viola just wants to play soccer. But her divorced and snooty parents just arent getting it. When her brother is set to start at a new school but skips out for the first two weeks to play with his band, Viola sees her chance. She enlists in the help of some friends to make her over as Sebastian and poses as him at the new school instead. With keeping up with soccer, close calls in the boys locker room, a dreamy roomate (the charming Channing Tatum), and running from sebastians ex, Viola will have some struggles keeping her newly found 'manhood' intact.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

The whole Harry Potter film series comes to a crashing end in the last installment of DH. As true fans will tell you, theres a lot left out from the book and many little changes, but it's still one of my favourites adaptations from the books. Harry, has a decision to make while at Shell Cottage. Horcruxes or Hallows? (though the weight of this decision is reflected way less in the movie). Most of the film centres around the all or nothing final battle to conclude the Wizarding War.

17 Again

A man makes a decision in highschool that will change his life forever. Years later, he finds himself regretting it, heading for divorce and out of touch with his children. When he gets the chance to be 17 again, he finds himself faced with what matters in life, and what he would do if he could do it all over again.
